Matt Dery is one of the most well-respected sports voices in Southeast Michigan. A Cleveland native who has now called Detroit home for the past 19 years, Dery joined Detroit Sports 105.1 as mid-day host in September of 2013, and then co-hosted in afternoon drive from 2-6 PM with Free Press columnist Drew Sharp on “Dery and Sharp”. Matt DeryHe spent four years as the afternoon update anchor for the Valenti and Foster show on 97.1 The Ticket. Prior to that, Dery spent 12 years at WDFN and 12 years as the Pistons Pre-game, Half-time and Post-game Host. In addition to sports talk, Dery has a passion for play-by-play. He has done the play-by-play for numerous Pistons radio games filling in for George Blaha and Mark Champion, and he was the radio and internet voice of the University of Detroit Mercy Titans for 12 years.

Dery has also been the fill-in voices of the Detroit Shock of the WNBA, the Detroit Fury of the AFL, and the Detroit Vipers of the IHL. He has done additional work for the MSU Spartans football network, Mac Hoops on FSD, the Motor City Bowl network, Sportstime Ohio in Cleveland, and HSTV. Dery also hosted the all-new “Bowling for Dollars” on WADL TV 38. Currently, Matt fills in at Sports Radio 92.3 FM “The Fan” in Cleveland and is the in-game host at the new United Shore Professional Baseball League in Utica. Dery also hosts a daily podcast “Locked on Lions” which takes an in-depth and opinionated look at the Detroit Lions.

Matt’s experiences covering the four major teams is spotlighted heavily in his speeches. He goes in-depth with stories that highlight what is right and what is wrong with organizations and their structure. Dery brings this experience and savvy to each and every speaking engagement.
